Dr. James Pierre-Glaude is a dual credentialed licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. Dr. Pierre-Glaude is also a credentialed Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Pierre-Glaude comes to True Sport Care with ten years of experience in sports medicine. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator of the Athletic Training Program at Stony Brook University and the Team Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist for the USA National Amputee Soccer Team. Prior to his faculty position, Pierre-Glaude was the Head Athletic Trainer for Mt. Sinai School District and Assistant Athletic Trainer for Stony Brook University’s Sports Medicine Department. His primary teams were softball and volleyball. Additionally, Pierre-Glaude has provided his services to NYS Lacrosse Championships, NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse North Quarterfinals, America East Conference Baseball Championship, NYC Marathon, Long Island Marathon, Amputee Soccer World Cup, and more.
Dr. Pierre-Glaude specializes in one-on-one, manual, and orthopedic sports physical therapy. His practice is geared towards a more active population and focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, conditioning, and management of sports injuries; including concussions. Dr. Pierre-Glaude keeps abreast of cutting edge technology and research thanks to his involvement in the didactic and clinical worlds of sports medicine. Pierre-Glaude is an avid sports fan and enjoys rooting for the New York Knicks, Giants, Rangers and Yankees; as well as spending time with his wife and son.
