Our Skills
Nesconset & Smithtown Sports and Chiropractic Services
Sports Medicine on Long Island
Here you’ll find all the techniques and services we offer.
Chiropractic Adjustments/Joint Mobilization
Gentle joint mobilization is performed in the area(s) relating to your condition. Many patients decline the mobilization and that’s OK. We have plenty of other tricks up our sleeve to fix an issue. For those who LOVE getting adjusted we have some of the best adjusters in the business. We do offer the Y-Strap for cervical adjustments but mostly we like to wrestle. No other fancy adjusting tools.
Soft Tissue Work
Name a soft tissue technique and we’re likely certified in it. ART, Graston, FAKTR, Myofascial Release, Massage, Cupping, every kind of stretching you can imagine, etc. In any event, you’ll get your butt thoroughly kicked during your session. We say that in the most loving way possible of course.
Massage
Sports and Medical Massage is a bit more aggressive than the relaxing kind. Our therapists really work out the problem areas with a combination of techniques and stretches. Many people add massage as part of their sports medicine approach to health and fitness.
Rehabilitation
We feel each and every patient/athlete needs their own assessment before formulating a specific rehabilitation plan. That’s why our exercise prescription will be very different from any other facility. That’s also why we created a YouTube channel and proprietary app so that it is easy to replicate your therapy at home. In fact, we feel you need less in-office visits when you’re doing a little something each day, at home, on your own. (Teach a man to fish vs., giving him a fish kind of thing) This is why our system is so successful.
Taping
Kinesio, Rock, Spider, K Tape, Leuko, Conventional. We do it all. When someone needs that extra little edge for a competition or game, we can set them up for success with the right tape job.
Virtual Visit
Believe it or not we have successfully begun rolling out a virtual option. Here the doc can watch you perform certain guided movement patterns and pick up on subtle cues that reveal weakness. This is a fantastic option for patients who have moved or for locals who would like to share the gift of feeling great with their non-local friends and loved ones.
