Local Sports Chiropractor selected to travel to Lillehammer, Norway to assist the US Bobsled and Skeleton Teams in their quest for Olympic glory.
Smithtown, NY – Dr. Marc Taczanowski, a seasoned sports chiropractor and co-founder of True Sport Care and Chiropractic in Nesconset, NY, has been selected to join the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton teams in Lillehammer, Norway, as they pursue Olympic aspirations. This marks another milestone in Dr. Taczanowski’s long-standing relationship with elite athletes on the world stage.
Dr. Taczanowski is no stranger to high-performance athletics. He previously traveled with Team USA for the World Championships in 2012 (Lake Placid) and 2013 (St. Moritz, Switzerland), as well as the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. After a few additional years supporting the team, he shifted his focus to building his practice with his wife and business partner, Dr. Hope Miller, in Nesconset, where they provide cutting-edge sports performance, recovery, and injury prevention care to athletes and the local community.
“Over the last eight years, I’ve really honed my skills and believe I’m exceptionally equipped to help the team with sports performance, recovery, and injury prevention,” says Dr. Taczanowski. “While only a few familiar faces remain among the athletes, many of the coaches, trainers, and administrators are former teammates I had the privilege of working with.”
Despite his experience, Dr. Taczanowski approaches this new chapter with humility and curiosity. “As an ‘aging’ doc, I’m honestly curious to see if what I bring to the table is still considered valuable to today’s athletes,” he reflects.
Dr. Taczanowski’s selection is a testament to his expertise and dedication to sports chiropractic care. His return to the international stage underscores the trust placed in him to help propel Team USA toward Olympic success.
