The “Gold Standard” in soft tissue treatment since the early 80’s.

This technique is a hands on touch and case-management system that allows a practitioner to diagnose and treat soft tissue injuries.  Soft tissue refers primarily to muscle, tendon, fascia, and nerves.  Specific injuries that apply are repetitive strains, adhesions, tissue hypoxia, and joint dysfunction.  The technique enhances performance and significantly reduces injury-healing time.  In order to become an A.R.T. provider, each professional must complete extensive hands-on instruction and a written/practical examination.

A.R.T. breaks up and modifies scar tissue that limits motion, strength and speed.  The doctor identifies the scar - usually a tight area with altered texture - gently compresses the area, and instructs the patient to move in a specific manner to maximally stretch the muscle.  There are over 300 protocols to deal with specific muscles and injuries.  In most cases, the patient feels 40 to 50 percent improvement on the first visit.  Normally, the number of treatments needed for complete resolution is 6 to 8.  Please visit www.activerelease.com for more information.
